In the morning we drive north and make a stop at a local market where the guide will buy food for the trek and you can buy some water. Then we drive on, into the mountains to the starting point of the trek. The hike itself is about 3 hours through the beautiful jungle with stunning views and lush greens, to end at an authentic hill tribe village. We take it easy on the way and can stop if and when we want, picture taking or a swim at a waterfall as often as you like. We spent the night in the village.
After breakfast, we will walk for about 2 hours to reach the elephant camp. An elephant-friendly experience, local Karen people take care of the elephants, no more logging or elephant riding. Feed the elephants, interact and play with the elephants in their natural environment. Take a mud spa with the elephants and walk them to a beautiful waterfall for more water fun. Photo opportunity aplenty.
From here another 1.5-hour walk to the river where your guide will prepare lunch. And then onward to rafting. The rafts are made from bamboo, by connecting long bamboo sticks to each other. You will descend the river at a relaxing pace, enjoying the natural surroundings and beautiful mountain views to Sop Kai, the point where our truck is waiting to transport us back to Chiang Mai. Here your tour ends.
