Day 1
Arrival in Bangkok and transfer from the airport to your hotel
Day 2 (B)
Discover Bangkok on your own, for information you can go to our own tour counter in the hotel.

Day 3 (B, L, D)
Between 06.00 and 06.30 AM you will be picked up at the lobby of your hotel and we depart to Kanchanaburi. At 09.00 AM we arrive at the War Museum, we visit one of the many war cemeteries and the impressive bridge over the river Kwai. At about 12.00 we make a historical and scenic boat trip over the River Kwai, on the way you pass unspoiled mountainous jungle scenery to get to your accommodation, the Jungle Rafts where your lunch will be served. These floating bungalows are build on bamboo rafts and at night lightened by oil lamps. In the afternoon you can make an exciting boat ride downstream and continue to visit the Hell Fire Pass memorial. AT 7.00 Pm your dinner will be served, after that there will be a presentation of Mon

Day 4 (B,L,D) After breakfast you will visit the nearby Mon village. It is possible to ride on an elephant over here (not included). This is the place where the movie “The Deerhunter” with Robert de Niro has been filmed. At lunch time back to the rafts where a Thai/Burmese lunch will be served. Afternoon free at leisure, enjoy your hammock or swim in the river. Dinner and overnight at the Jungle Rafts.

Day 5 (B,L)
Late morning you will go to Nam Tok train station and you will board the train over the Burma Railway, slowly moving along the wooden tracks. Then back to Bangkok by air conditioned minivan where you will arrive around 6.00 PM

Day 6 (B)
We drive to the Khao Yai National Park, the biggest in Thailand with a lot of wildlife, a.o. tigers and elephants. We do a nature walk in the real jungle and visit the water fall where the movie “The Beach” with Leonardo di Caprio has been filmed. We spend the night in a lodge at the park.

Day 7 (B)
We drive to the heart of the north east, a seldom visited but very interesting area. Here it looks if time stood still. In the small towns of Dan Kwian and Pak Tong Chai we visit a few factories where people still use their skills to make handmade products. In Phimai we visit the beatitiful Khmer ruins that were built in the same style as Angkor Wat in Cambodia, this area once belonged to the same country.. We will have a traditional lunch at a 500 year old holy tree which is as big as a whole forest. Overnight in Khon Kaen

Day 8 (B)
In the morning we visit a historical park with many strangely shaped rocks formed by the Mekong river. A few of these rocks were used as temples and one can still see 4000 old paintings on the walls. After that a stunning route along the Mekong river to Chiang Khan where we sleep in a teakwood guesthouse right at the banks of the Mekong river. Simple but very colorful accomodation with shared bathroom. There is a possibility to do a boat trip on the Mekong river or attend a dinner with traditional dance and music from the north east.



Day 9 (B)
At sunrise you can see how every family in Chiang Khan offers food to the monks. After breakfast we drive to a big lake where we take a raft and go to the middle of the lake where we will be able to swim and relax. Lunch is served on the raft. On the way to Phitsanulok we will pass the vineyard Chateau de Loei and a few national parks, one of the most beautiful roads in Thailand.

Day 10 (B)
We drive to the old capital Sukothai where we will rent bicycles and see the old ruins and lotus ponds. On the way back we will visit in Phitsanulok the famous Wat Mahathat and a Buddha casting factory. After that to Chiang Mai where we arrive late afternoon.

Day 11 (B)
You are picked up from your hotel by your guide. Drive north of Chiang Mai to Mae Taman (approx. 1hr) to the elephant camp. At the elephant camp you will see the elephants taking their morning bath and demonstrating some of their skills. Afterwards take an elephant ride for approx. 1 hrs to a Lisu hill tribe village. The ride takes you through some of the lovely forest scenery and along the river. You will come back to the elephant camp by oxcart. After lunch take a bamboo raft trip down the river, admire the scenery and absorb the tranquility as you float down the river. Then drive back to Chiang Mai in the afternoon



Day 12 (B)
Free at leisure. You could for example do a cycling tour or learn how to cook Thai food. Late afternoon your aircon sleeper bus leaves for Hua Hin or Pattaya (please choose)

Day 13
In the morning you will arrive in Hua Hin or Pattaya where you can take a local taxi to the hotel.

Day 13/15 (B)

Enjoy your beach stay.

Day 15

Transfer to Bangkok airport for your connecting flight back to your country.

How to pay:

  1. By credit card, use our online payment system
  2. Transfer to our Thai bank account
  3. Transfer to our bank account in the Netherlands
  4. For our roundtrips you can pay with our partner in the Netherlands who is a member of SGR and ANVR

If you do not want to stay overnight at the Jungle Rafts (Day 3 and 4) you can stay in the nearby Resotel where rooms have airconditioning and there is a swimming pool. Extra charge for this is 20 euro per person)

If you do not want to take the nightbus on Day 12 you can instead fly to Bangkok where we pick you up from the airport and bring you by private transport to your beach destination where you will stat an extra night. Extra costs for this option is 75 euro per person.

If you want to extend your beach stay please let us know. Small deviations in the tour program are some times necessary, depending on road conditions and room availability
