They all start with a comfortable train ride from Bangkok to Phitsanulok. It is possible to fly instead of taking the train, of course there is a surcharge. You take a local taxi to the train station and buy a train ticket yourself to Ayutthaya. Between 07.00 and 09.00 h. many local trains leave, no need (and not possible) to buy a ticket in advance. Take 3rd class to experience how local Thai people travel. Upon arrival in Ayutthaya you take a local taxi to the Uthong Inn hotel where you will stay tonight. more
